Alright, alright, alright! There are THOUSANDS of beauty brands in the market today. Within those brands, there are multiple lines for every type of product. On top of that, complexion is one of the largest sections within a brand’s product lines. Needless to say, you’ve got a lot of options. Now, I’ve tried many of these products; too may to count. After years of trying all different types of complexion products, I can confidently say that I’ve found my holy grail line.
Too Faced’s Born This Way collection is everything I could want in a complexion line. Let’s begin by talking about the foundation. When it comes to my base, I like to use something that makes my skin feel like skin. Not only that, but I like to use foundations that make my skin LOOK like skin too. The Born This Way Foundation is an oil-free medium-to-full coverage foundation that contains coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid. The foundation is undetectable when applied to the skin and blends smoother than any other foundation that I’ve tried. It truly has a natural finish, while replenishing the skin’s moisture levels. When doing a full face of makeup, I like to use one full pump of foundation. That’s enough to give me a flawless and even base. On an everyday basis, I use less than half a pump of foundation to cover my trouble areas for a “no makeup makeup” look (click here to watch my YouTube video on this look).
There’s no better match for the Born This Way Foundation than the Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-use Sculpting Concealer (try saying that 3x fast 😜). This concealer is super light weight, yet it packs a punch. It’s full coverage and its oil- free, noncomedogenic formula will keep your skin healthy and without blemishes. I prefer this concealer to other popular ones such as the Tarte Shape Tape and Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer because it has a super blendable, light weight formula that does not sacrifice coverage. It works so well with the Born This Way Foundation and maintains the skin-like look.
To finish it all off, the Born This Way Pressed Powder Foundation is the perfect product to set everything in place and complete the flawless base. This powder is super fine and creamy. It’s oil free formula helps to control shine, while blurring the look of imperfections and evening skin tone. The foundation is light enough to wear as a setting powder for the entire face or for extra coverage in difficult areas. I like this powder because even if I overdo it, it never makes my skin look cakey.
There are many great complexion products out in the market today, but this line all together checks all the right boxes. I like using products from the same line because I know the quality will always be consistent and the shade matching is usually easier.
